Menswear Monday

The temperatures are dropping even further at the moment, even though apparently it's 7 degrees up here in Newcastle - but believe me when I say they lie. So, I've given you jumpers and I've given you coats, all you need to finish off your winter look are accessories. Here, I give you my pick of the coziest and chicest hats, scarfs and gloves. As always, I've presented the high-end of the price scale first then followed by the high street:

Dents have delivered with these leather gloves (£85) that come with touch-screen fingers - super handy for when you need to use your phone but don't dare expose your hands. They are cashmere lined for extra warmth and comfort, like little blankets for your hands.

Richard James gives us this burnt orange scarf  at £150. The USP of this product being that it is hand-knitted in the UK, giving it some heritage. Black, blue and brown will all go equally great with this autumnal shade.

Gucci have used their iconic striped pattern to create this distinctive scarf (£175). The wool and silk blend used makes it incredibly soft and luxurious to touch, giving you a touch of class in the dreary weather.

Again, I've gone for Richard James due to the brands reliability for high quality. For £125 you can treat yourself to this wool hat in a wonderfully festive red.

If you want to go the whole way, then you should get this Gucci hat (£150) to match the scarf. It comes in the same print, also with a wool and silk blend and would look oh so chic when put together. I think they'd both look great teamed with a smart black or charcoal grey overcoat.

Over to the high street:

These Topman gloves (£8) will add a bit of edge to your ensemble. The green and burgundy blended pattern is different to your usual block colour and the thick ribbed cuffs add comfort.

I love this geo print scarf  from Burton, and it's a steal at only £14. Being 100% wool, you'll feel fully wrapped up and cosy wearing this. The distinctive pattern will liven up any outfit, and the dark shades used means it will match just about any colour!

River Island have designed this chunky knit snood scarf (£12). The idea behind this style is that it's simple to stay wrapped around your neck and the snug fit maintains your body heat. The thick knit is great, plus you can never go wrong with black.

Shore Leave have offered up this beanie for £18, but the great news is you can now get it half price for only £9 at UO. The stone colour is perfect for brightening up your looks on overcast days and the foldable rim means you can adjust the size for your comfort.

This Classic Winter Beanie (£19) from Hollister is a bit of fun. The pom pom detailing comes across quite playful and the snowflake pattern is ubiquitously wintery. The bright blue colour contrasts nicely with the light grey on the main body of the hat. This would be best styled with a relaxed, casual look and blue denim jeans.
